Some Nebulous System . . . (sublimation)

Some nebulous system of  my own devising

Drives me to see, to hear, to taste

To breathe, to fondle, to be aware.

(I take  the blame for receiving, not choosing)

Some externals are eager to inhibit

To inhabit my imagination

To rape my senses, offend me

Force intercourse against my will

So often they nearly have me, terrify me

In their ugliness

So often they enrage me and my fury

Is vented in vain

to the dullness,

The dying of the imperceiving

I banish my bitter to my interior
